Karen is an executive coach, consultant, and author. 

Karen earned a Master’s of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in English from Rutgers University. She studied international marketing in the Executive Development program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. Her executive coaching certification was granted by the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara. She also holds a Conflict Dynamics and Resolution certification from Eckerd College.

Earlier, Karen served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the private equity firm, Atlas Venture. During her 25-year corporate career, she held management and executive positions in product marketing, corporate communications, and strategic planning at companies including Dun and Bradstreet, American Express, and IBM.
